Whenever I think of my own married life, I think of it as a journey towards becoming the person I am meant to be. I’m not perfect, sinless, spared from trials and temptation. My life is not always happy, nor problem-free. Life with my spouse can be challenging, but that’s what makes the journey worthwhile. The reality is marriage will always be a work in progress. A person cannot do this on his own; it takes two to make it work and three to make it last. Yes, there is always a third party to any marriage and that is God. Let’s face it! We all desire to find our one true love. Many times, we think finding true love will guarantee us a fairy-tale ending. But this is only the beginning of a long and winding, even sometimes, difficult road to happiness and fulfillment. Falling in love is a moment in our lives which can suddenly make our world a beautiful place to live in. I used to think that being a mom was easy, that is, until I became one.  Growing up, I witnessed how my own mother balanced her life as a wife, a career woman, her community service and her 7 children!  I appreciated how she did her job as a mom that I said to myself, " hey, being a mom is so simple !"    But I later on discovered that motherhood was tougher than I thought.. The day I gave birth ... Dubai, UAE - January 27, 2013 I can't seem to find the right words to capture the very essence of this photo... but one thing I am sure of...  this is definitely a mommy moment I will cherish for the rest of my life.  

The seven last words of Jesus Christ is far beyond utters of pain, of sufferings, of agony.  It is an expression of love - love as symbolized by the Cross.  First Word of Love: "I forgive you" “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they’re doing.” (Luke 23:34) Jesus' ultimate sacrifice on the cross is all about forgiveness.  His love is unconditional and His mercy is for everyone.  Even if I sometimes choose not to acknowledge the wrong things I have done, Christ is ready to forgive me.  He is saying, "I love you inspite of the many times you've hurt me and I forgive you." Many times, I find it difficult to forgive someone who have caused me a lot of pain... most especially if this person is someone I love dearly and close to my heart.  But Christ's love is beyond any pain.  He reminds me that only true forgiveness can set me free from it.  ...

In celebration of International Women's Month, I was inspired to blog about women who were my life inspirations...     One of my favorite women in the Bible is Ruth.  She was known for her love and loyalty as a daughter-in-law.  Despite the death of her husband, Ruth chose to be with her mother-in-law and committed to stand by her no matter what.  These were her very lines: Ruth of the Bible "Wherever you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.  Your people will be my people and your God my God."
