On Marriage and Fidelity

Whenever I think of my own married life, I think of it as a journey towards becoming the person I am meant to be. I’m not perfect, sinless, spared from trials and temptation. My life is not always happy, nor problem-free. Life with my spouse can be challenging, but that’s what makes the journey worthwhile. The reality is marriage will always be a work in progress. A person cannot do this on his own; it takes two to make it work and three to make it last. Yes, there is always a third party to any marriage and that is God. Always Be Yourself

Sometimes the best way to succeed is to be yourself.

Life is a Gift

I was a college student when I was first diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. I will never forget how my doctor told me, this condition would cause certain hormonal changes in my body, especially affecting chances of pregnancy. Depending on how my body would react to these changes, I could end up either too fertile (which is what I was hoping for, of course) or worse, it would be difficult for me to get pregnant. I just hoped for the best. Like most women, I dream of having my own children and experience that wonderful gift of motherhood. healthytippingpoint.com Read full article in my column: "Live Free" Tapat Catholic News Website LIVE FREE: Life is a Gift

5 Things Moms can Learn from Dads about Parenting

Moms and dads definitely have different styles when it comes to parenting, but this doesn’t mean that the other party is doing something wrong.  As moms, we tend to compare how our partners do things with how we handle our children’s needs. But rather than trying to “perfect” our partner’s parenting ways, we should rather encourage and support them into being the best father they can be. In fact, we moms could learn a thing or two from our partners: Read my special Father's Day article in www.smartparenting.com.ph Link to full article:  5 Things Moms can Learn from Dads about Parenting

I Dream of "Disney"

Classic Disney program I enjoyed as a child (photo credits: cbc.ca)     The wonderful world of "Disney" had been a significant part of my life as child.  I first fell in love with Snowhite, the first ever Disney movie I saw and watched over and over (and over) again.    Since then, I became a big fan of anything and everything “Disney”.    From Dumbo and Pinocchio... to Peter Pan and Bambi...  Aladdin and Cinderella... I always looked forward to my weekend Disney marathons.          As a young girl, I had my own “Disney-inspired” fantasy world.   I imagined what it would be like to get lost in Wonderland like Alice... or having a Fairy Godmother and attend a magical Ball like Cinderella... At times I would dream of living in an enchanted castle like Belle and best of all, to meet Mickey Mouse. Some of my classic mov...

It’s simply amazing how much I can learn from someone so young.  A child can definitely teach us - older ones - a lot about love…  Out of nowhere, my son told me, “ Faith is my life ”.   He was actually referring to his playmate, a girl about his age named, Faith.   I honestly didn't know where he learned to say those words, but in the pureness and innocence of his heart he was happy and proud to express it.   There was another time he came up to...

When It's Time to Let Go...

To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish the moment. To let go is not to criticize and regulate anyone, but to try to become what I dream I can be. To let go is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future. To let go is to fear less and love more. - author unknown image source: http://weheartit.com/entry/41455692 # What does it really mean to "let go"...  I had my shares of dealing with it.  I often encounter various situations wherein it is extremely difficult to move on and get on with my life. But one thing I realized is that letting go may be a painful experience, but it is an essential part of life.  Some people believe that we are strong if we keep "holding on".  But in reality, we become even stronger when we learn to let go.   Letting go doesn't mean we are giving up... It means ...
